Event: It's Javascript Time...
Love it or hate it Web Developers have to embrace it. Helen Emerson drops in to explain the power of Javascript and what we can do with it. We'll also be having a nugget and maybe, just mayve, a slice of the old pizza.

If you are not a member of NxtGenUG, you are more than welcome to attend. We just ask you register on the site, to help us to plan numbers and refreshments. Once registered on the site, you can then register for this event from this page.

Event Breakdown
Helen Emerson Exploring the Javascript Language
The object model in Javascript looks pretty foreign the first time you see it, particularly if you're from mainstream languages like C#, Java or VB.NET. In my talk I'm going to explore the Javascript object model, talk about the bread and butter things you need to know to create classes and objects and show you how to get the most out of some of the more exotic Javascript object features like prototyping.
Chris Seary Custom WCF Authentication
Chris will take a quick dip into the security pluggability of WCF, looking at authentication and how one hooks into a custom security database
