Good introduction, could have easily listened to Alex talk for another hour. Can we get him back to talk about other aspects (pun intended) of enterprise library.

Hadn't seen this exploit before so interesting and good to see how you might code against it. Maybe I'll get the book when it comes out...

Everyone seemed friendly & welcoming. It was great to meet with like-minded people to share ideas & pizza!! The open feedback proved really useful in clarifying points & building knowledge during the nugget & the main presentation alike. I will be coming to the next one that's for sure!

Event Breakdown
Alex Homer Policy and Dependency Injection with Enterprise Library
Enterprise Library, from Microsoft's patterns & practices group, provides plenty of opportunities for simplifying and speeding up development of complex applications. One feature of the Library is the ability to apply a series of handlers to the methods and properties of objects that your application uses, allowing you to add configurable policy-driven features such as validation, logging, exception handling, authorization, and caching. Another approach is to use the Unity Application Block, which provides a dependency injection container that allows developers to take advantage of the modern approach to creating complex objects and object hierarchies through configuration and code. It supports constructor, property, and method call injection, and can be used both as part of Enterprise Library, and as a stand-alone object generation mechanism. This session looks at how you can take advantage of the Policy Injection and the Unity Application Blocks in your own applications.
