A suggestion when doing demos (I think I was also at the same 1-day "speaker training" course at microsoft I think) ... The visibility of the code could have been improved by reducing toolbox-clutter, and reducing tab-size, switching VS to full-screen (Alt-shift-enter) Otherwise, a good presentation, though sadly shortened (I felt that some of the slides could have been 'reduced' in order to have covered more of the planned presentation without having to cut short)

This months meeting was my second and there seemed to be a lot more people about which was good - although apparently that was for the Christmas swag! Barry was on his usual form and came very swagged up with a MS LifeCam which I "won" during Andrew's talk. Definitely going to become a fully fledged member in the new year (assuming there are events next year *dig dig*) and possibly even do a presentation on something after a proper chat with Barry.

This was my first meeting and it exceeded my expectation. The location, layout and structure was very good, with Andrew helpfully providing further info by email later. The swag was nice but the content and presentation was excellent.

It may be Christmas time in the workhouse, but that don't mean it needs to be a slog! Andrew Hallmark is here to tell us how to spend more time in the Pub this Christmas, by making use of the CSLA Framework as promoted by Rocky Lhotka. Should be great, plus Chrimbo Swag and Pizza of course!

CSLA.NET is a free, open source business object framework that can help developers of all skill levels to build scalable, maintainable applications that adhere to industry best practices without extended delivery time. Code generation is a technique for automatically creating sections of code to a consistent standard. Both techniques are beneficial in their own right but in combination offer a compelling method of quickly delivering high quality applications.
