Meeting the guys from Coventry was great & the bar was a bonus! Doing my nugget to a new audience was pretty nerve wracking. The change from Pizza was nice & the Swag-O-Meter was great fun!
Richard Wilde
First event, have to say that overall it was very good
Ryan O'Neill
Short but concise, no waffle.
Michael Holmes
Again, a very knowledgeable guy and its great to see code being entered live, rather than simply copied and pasted from something prepared, as that not only shows a real understanding of what is going on by the presenter, but also gives the audience more time to understand the code. However, the presentation seemed to lack 'direction' - I wasn't sure where we were going, background info was sparse. It was amazing to see the demonstration coming together so quickly, even if I was a bit lost in places as to what was happening - there wasn't much 'presenting' going on...
Conan Ablewhite
Brilliant nugget, showing a definite performance bonus. Richard seems like a very affable and knowledgeable guy - I look forward to seeing more of his presentations in the future.
David Matthews-Gore
Good events as usual - I was looking forwards to pizza though ;)
Stuart Wells
Very interesting - haven't shifted from 2.0 yet...but when it comes to XML serialisation I shall certinaly remember to look at XAML serialisation.

Event: The Designer/Developer Story..
Once upon a time there was a Designer called Simon Sturgess who lived in a nice shiny expression land. One day he came across a Developer named Timothy Hustler who lived in VS2008-Land. Wizard Microsoft cast a spell and they both lived together happily ever after (purely on a professional basis). The Wizard has also promised he'll magic some pizza too and possibly a nugget.

Event Breakdown
Simon Sturgess Designer/Developer - The Designer Story
Simon Sturgess will get his ‘Blend’ on making some snazzy buttons, highlighting the features in the Expression Blend tool for creating good looking controls with Visual States and all sorts of crazy XAML to boot. Simon specialises in NOT making things easy for Tim, despite any magic the Microsoft Wizard has cast
Timothy Hustler Designer Developer - The Developer Story
Tim Hustler will code the back-end stuff against the controls Simon makes, binding them to data and wiring up the interaction to make them proper controls with events and everything. Woe betide Simon if any data doesn’t fit, he’ll just have to do it again, and ‘do it properly this time!’
Richard Hopton XAML vs. XML
Demonstrating some of the performance & functionality gains of using the XAML Serializer in place of the XML one, the few down sides & showing how to make the switch
