Allister Frost
Fantastic presentation on C# 4.0. I really like Guy's presenting style and open questions from the audience.
Shaun Wilde
Excellent presentation and managed to get the salient facts across about where C#4.0 currently stands. Still think he needed more i18n examples though :).
Adrian Pickering
These NxtGenUG events are unparalleled and I've never seen it so busy. Excellent venue, speakers and organisation. Sessions like this are worth the membership in their own right, thanks to Guy, Chris, Allister and everyone else involved in this event.
Adrian Pickering
Absolutely, 100% faultless. Guy is an outstanding, engaging speaker willing to tempt us to the very tip of his knowledge and leave us all gasping for more.
Graham Russell
I underestimated the usefulness of the event and look forward to the next one!
Roger Billsdon
Like the mini Mars bar, a balanced and healthy diet!!
David Craft
I liked the way Guy does his talks. I've seen him before and have found him very engaging. Not his fault, but i was really disappointed by c# 4.0. I can't seen any reason to use it just yet. I've marked him down as he didn't show us VS 10 and c#4.0 running. It was basically a power point presentation. Which is not what i've come to expect from NxtGenUg.
Mark Dickens
Guy gave an excellent presentation as usual. Nice to see features long available in other languages finally making it into C#.
Hue Holleran
Excellent event - thoroughly enjoyed it.
Daniel Dyson
Well presented as always

Event Breakdown
Guy Smith-Ferrier What's new in C# 4.0
At PDC 2008 Microsoft unveiled C# 4 and all of the new features within. So now we start the roller-coaster of catch up all over again as we desperately struggle to keep up with what's new and why we should be interested in the latest flashy feature. In this session we will look at dynamically typed objects, optional and named parameters, type embedding, type equivalence, loose type coupling and more. In addition if we have time we will look at the "compiler as a service" feature to be released after C# 4.
