Great nugget - Entertaining, Informative and fun at John's expense - Perfick!
Raymond Starkey
A bit to Architecture-ish for a deveopers group but very competent. Alan hid his lights under a bush, it wasn't until we got into the talk that we learned he was writing a book and had developed for Tesco. These are credible qualifications which he should have made known at the start.

He didn't bring his guitar, he didn't sing - I was heartbroken. But, a very good nugget indeed!
Chris Sexton
Had the RESTful services book, but loved the clarity of this well-presented argument of the mindset behind it. I took away lots of what I wanted to use from it, and understood the fundamental premise much better, thanks.
Colin Newell
Please don't offend the demo gods before the main presentation again.

Great presentations, great food, great SWAG - what more can you ask for!!?? :-)
Richard Hopton
Once again a great event, with great MC'ing from Rich, jokes from John and sausage & onion butties to complete the mix.
Philip Leicester
Yeah, good, enjoyed something a bit more theoretical than usual. Would have liked a bit more comparison with WS to better understand when you might be RESTful or choose WS.
Chris Leicester
Earlier incarnations of free text seraching in SQL (and windows generally) wasn't particularly useful but what we saw in this nugget was very inspiring to dig in again and get something good working.

Alan Dean Separating REST Facts from Fallacies
Still not sure what REST is or why it might be important to you? REST(Representational State Transfer) is still a deeply misunderstood architectural style. This presentation is designed to dispel some of the myths surrounding REST.
Dave McMahon My Third Favourite SQL Keyword With Knobs On ...
OK, so you probably know now that my third favourite SQL keyword is CONTAINSTABLE but within this little beauty lie hidden a number of gems for the developer. Dave's here to show you how they work, provided he can make sure Rich doesn't tamper with his laptop meanwhile [RICH EDIT: Hee Hee]...
