Thought provoking: some new angles on design patterns which I hadn't previously considered. Also an interesting insight into a few of the issues associated with a large banking application.

Another fun, informative event from NxtGenUG. It's like you guys never let your guard down - surely we must be long overdue for a duff evening?

Event Breakdown
Gary Short Design Patterns
A design pattern is simply an item of expert knowledge encoded in a software implementation such that the individual developer can implement the pattern (and hence the knowledge) without being an expert in that particular area. In this presentation we will further define what a design pattern is, before going on to examine some common examples that I have encountered over the years.
