Event Breakdown
Eric Nelson ORM, EDM, ESQL, Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL, LINQ to Entities - Confused?
The Entity Data Model (EDM) v1 is the initial tiny step of what the Microsoft product groups believe will be a significant shift in how we work with data. LINQ to Entities delivers ORM capabilities on top of the EDM and also ends up competing against LINQ to SQL. This session will give a brief intro to each technology, expand on the “grand plan” and look at the new features coming in v2 as part of the .NET Framework 4.0. Hopefully it will enable you to make an informed technology choice when working on your own projects.
Alex Mackey The Oslo Nugget
Oslo is the code name for Microsoft's up and coming modelling technologies.
But what does it actually do and why should you be interested? In this nugget we will take a quick look at a simple example utilzing MGrammar, Intellipad and Visual Studio.
