Andy Wigley Cool UI for Windows Mobile – How to compete with the iPhone
The iPhone has set new standards for how a UI on a mobile device should look and feel. Back in Visual Studio land, we have a bunch of controls that looked snazzy back in Windows 3.1 days, but don’t cut it today, and we don’t have WPF or Silverlight (yet).

Despite this, armed with the right knowledge you can create great looking UIs that incorporate transparency and alpha blending, and that alter the presentation of the standard Windows Forms controls. The result can look great and be a pleasure for users to use. Come to this session to discover how!
Joel Hammond-Turner Printing From Silverlight
It's the feature that more people have bugged Scott Guthrie about than anything else, but did you know that you can print from Silverlight *RIGHT NOW* using a 3rd party component? This nugget will show you just how easy it can be.
