Cracking event, I really enjoyed this one - loads of content and a great atmosphere! - Thanks to Ben and Dave!

Ben did good but now I realise why the help in .Net is crabby. I also realised that we now must be codesmiths, artists and now writers - has Microsoft got it right?
Ben Hall
Very good talk, highlighted some very interesting points about CSS. The CSS Adapters and Data forms where the highlights as these are the areas where I fall down with CSS. Also good how you discussed how you personally do things in the real world with CSS. Samples where direct to the point which was good. Shame VS2008 wasn't mentioned, but time was limited.

Should I really be submitting feedback on myself? Anyway, forgot to mention one or two things which I had planned, but in prep time talk seemed long but with the nerves think I rushed it a little bit too much. But was great experience so thank you. More than happy to do one again in the future ;) Cheers.

This was very informative. I appreciated Dave's realistic approach to CSS: I disagree with the CSS purists who just say "use a proper CCS2 compliant browser" because the real business world is not like that we have to reach as many potential customers as possible.

Great to see some of the younger NxtGen members developing their speaking skills. Ben is a clever lad and should have a bright future ahead of him. One to watch. Presentation was also good and will definitely be checking out the links.
Ami Bening
Good insight into Sandcastle and how to use something that isn't that well marketed by MS. Well done Ben.

This was my first nxtGenUG meeting and I was very impressed. I much prefer small group talks to large corporate style events. The pizza was great too!

Dave Sussman CSS 101 - Moving from Table based Layout
Table based layout has been a staple of the Web for many years; they are simple to understand and implement and provide a great way to provide the structure for a site. However tables were never intended to be used as a layout tool and while simple, their rigidity doesn't allow for easy design changes, as well as providing accessibility problems. This session will examine how to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout of a site, showing that even without being a CSS expert you can have flexible designs with headers, footers, multiple columns, and even different layouts simply by changing the style sheet. It will cover the basics of style sheet design as well as examining the issues of cross-browser compatibility.
Richard Costall The Hawkeye Nugget
Nugmeister Richard Costall, opens his Pandoras Box and pulls out this little beauty that will save you hours when fixing bugs... But does it have a more sinister side - Keep your eyes open and watch him like a Hawk!
Ben Hall The Sandcastle Nugget
Roll up your trousers, put the knotted hankies on your head, as we head down to the beach to see what NxtGenUG member Ben Hall has built with his Sandcastle. Ice Cream Anybody?
