Good evening, venue not quite as good as the flying club, but the fish and chips went down well. No tornado's tonight, but there was a Vulcan and a Gnat outside :-)
John Price
Good showing silverlight encoding of video.. I have used this a few times since. Only marked down because the Readyboost song made an appearance.
James Coulter
Barry is a very charismatic speaker and managed to make a difficult subject very accessible. The only minor criticism is that I would have liked to have seen a bit more code samples...but at least Barry gave plenty of pointers to further information.
James Coulter
Once again Rich did a good overview of some of the new media presentation capabilities of Silverlight and at the same time, showed how easy it is to use Expression to build dynamic web sites. The integration with VS2008 also looks neat...
Mark Hone
Shame you didn't have time to add the bouncing ball as well but a good demonstration of what can be done with the new Expression stuff.
Barry Dorrans
Oh god. Why did you make us listen to Dave. Why? WHY?!
Andrew Maggs
Barry is an excellent speaker and certainly knows his stuff and made what could be a very dry subject quite interesting.
Stuart Turner
I think the big disadvantage of cardspace, portability, should have been explained further.
Colin Newell
Interesting technically but stop showing that video!

Event Breakdown
Barry Dorrans An introduction to Cardspace
Windows CardSpace is a framework developed by Microsoft which securely stores digital identities of a person, and provides a unified interface for choosing the identity for a particular transaction, such as logging in to a website. This talk will cover the Identity Metasystem, how CardSpace works and how it can be used within ASP.NET applications.
Martin Wright NxtGenUG WARP (factor 9?)
Do you want to play your part in creating a safer electronic environment? As JFK once said "ask not what a NxtGen WARP can do for you but what you can do for the NxtGen WARP" - well we think he said that.... If you want to know more and wish to raise your right hand to become an e-marshal then sit up and listen to West Midlands Police Inspector Martin Wright ... its logical Captain ...
Richard Costall The Media Nugget
Rich is under pressure. Dave's media agent is on the phone and needs new functionality on Dave's new website, but he's only got 10 minutes to do it or he's fired - Can Silverlight and Media Encoder save the day? Will Dave get in the top 10. Find out in this nugget! [WARNING: This nugget contains the ReadyBoost song, which some (if not all) people may find offensive]
