Dave chats to Josh Holmes, whilst at VSLive. They talk about Josh's presentations, his favourite features of Visual Studio 2005 and why LINQ makes him happy. [Transcript]
Josh Holmes has been a software developer, consultant and trainer for 8 years. He has done extensive work with .NET in C# and VB.NET for the desktop, Web Services and Pocket PC. His specialty is mobility solutions centered on .NET technologies.
He's written course material for and taught the C# Bootcamp, the VB.NET Bootcamp, the Compact Framework Bootcamp, Advanced Compact Framework Bootcamp, the ASP.NET Bootcamp, the XML BootCamp, the XML Spy BootCamp and other classes to groups of 10 or more developers on a number of topics.
As speaker, he's participated in and continues to speak at Software Development West, Software Development East and the DevConnections Conferences, VCDC, Web Services Edge, BASTA, XML-In-Action and Microsoft DevDays giving talks on a variety of topics including: SOAP, .NET with C# and/or VB.NET, .NET Compact Framework, Software Design, Model Driven Development, COM and XML.
As a consultant, he's architected and developed web, desktop, server and Pocket PC applications. His mission is to improve the skill set of those pursuing the craft of software development.
