Jeremy Horgan
Yes, great session, I took alot from it - thanks
Stuart Turner
I was 50:50 on attending this event as it wasn't focused on a technology but it was very enjoyable and will hopefully help me in my career.
Colin Newell
A different format to the usual but it worked well. You pulled it off marvellously.
Dave Evans
Took a lot of people out of their comfort zones - always a good and challenging thing to do. Good practical advice.
Raymond Starkey
Really good - did well to get it all in in the time available.
Mike Bonner
The presentation skills presentation was extremely good and a great variation from a normal technical presentation. Alan was extremely interesting to listen to and a lot was learnt.
James Coulter
One of the best NxtGen sessions I have ever been to, because it was very different from the usual "sit back and listen" style of presentation. More like this would definitely be useful.
James Coulter
Alan is one of the most charismatic and engaging speakers I have ever listened to. He held the audience's attention from the word go, and the interactive nature of session, though daunting at first, really helped to embed the messages he was conveying.
Ralph Manley
Alan was brilliant, got the whole group working well together and I learnt so much in that short time, mostly where I've been going wrong!! The 2 day 'boot camp' must be a challenging but enjoyable experince. Thank you!! :)
Neal O'nions
Lots to think about as always at nxtgen events but, more importantly perhaps, a lot to take away and try and put into practice. Inspirational as well as good commen sense.
Ami Bening
I think this session was worth the whole of the years subscription and more. Having presented in the past I hadn't really thought about a number of the aspects we were told here. An evenings training in 90minutes great, now lets have another NxtGen Gorrilla evening like DeveloperMentor have in a week.
Ami Bening
Enthused, indiviual brave and wears's a loud beach shirt to boot, now that's a guy you want at your next party talking about computers.
Bob Morris
Chris's explaination of lamda expressions was very clear. It was the first time I have understood the syntax of lambda expressions.
Robert Minchin
I hate workshops but otherwise excellent

Event Breakdown
Alan Elston Presentation Skills
One of the great challenges in this information age is how we communicate on our feet in front of a group of people. It is how we distinguish our message from all the other information and inspire people to action. This workshop takes a brief look at what it takes to be a presenter. Your speaker is Alan Elston he has spent a great deal of time in the IT industry working with companies like Microsoft and 1st Software on how their people deliver presentations. He is passionate about what he does; which comes across in his upbeat and fast paced style as a presenter and trainer. The workshop will be fully interactive; where each individual will have an opportunity to try out Al’s ideas about what makes a great presenter. We will look at the basic principles of presenting; and how we keep control of an audience. Come with an open mind, an eagerness to participate and to have fun
Chris Hay The 'You Choose' Nugget
Cambridge Coordinator and Extreme Nuggeteer Chris Hay - will, without a safety net, allow the attendees to pick, from a list, which nugget he'll demonstrate - not only that, he's doing it on an evening about presentation skills - Is he Mad, no just another NxtGenUG coordinator full of passion about technology.
