Mmmm... PIZZA !!

If you ever get the chance to sit down and speak to Steve, you realise he's a very smart guy. He obviously spent a lot of time working out every permutation of reading a file and covered the topic quite exhaustively. You ought to encourage him to do more speaking!

Worthwhile - and I was surprised at that. I expected the RAILS stuff and the C# i/o to be mildly interesting - but was much better than that. Food good as usual. Location near perfect (but then I am RM)

I have a lot of time for Ian's knowledge and his eagerness to share it. MonoRails and MVC are very prevalent at the moment and this was a very good time for Ian to introduce them. I think that this area is going to be very big once MS get their new framework out. Patterns and OO principles can sometimes be hard to grasp in real life context but Ian puts them across clearly.

Event Breakdown
Steven Wilmot Learning to Read in C#
Long standing NxtGenUG member and first time 'Nuggeteer' Steven Wilmot, tells us how he learnt to read in C# ..., mysterious stuff!
Ian Cooper MonoRails
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Ian Cooper trying to stay on the Rails. Arriving by normal railway probably, Ian Cooper, London .NET User Group Leader, Speaker and long standing member of the UK Community sets out his stall on MonoRails (xxx on Rails on .NET?). So if you want to find out what the heck MonoRails is, what it has or hasn't got in common with Ruby on Rails, best not miss it!
